Teen clinic

Teen Clinic

Good news! If you’re a teen looking for birth control, condoms or STD testing, you’re in the right place! Youth 19 and under (that’s you!) can receive confidential sexual and reproductive health care.

**Please note, this location closed due to the COVID-19 environment and did not relocate the teen clinic. Right now, we don’t have a tentative date to reopen that location or the teen clinic. However, Central Regional and James O. Goodwin locations are accepting appointments for family planning services for all clients including teens. Teens can call and schedule an appointment at one of the above locations to receive family planning/STD services. Parental consent not required to make appointment.

How to Make Your Appointment:

Call us at . Get brave ‘cause you’re going to have to talk to another human ON THE PHONE! We like to text, too, but appointments need to be made by phone. Tell the friendly human who answers that you want to make an appointment at our Teen Clinic.  Tell them the reason you need an appointment – for example, birth control or an STD test or a pregnancy test. Confirm the date and time of your appointment before you hang up.  Put a reminder in your phone - it’s your responsibility to remember when you need to be here!

What to Expect at Your Appointment

You may feel nervous visiting  our Teen Clinic the first time.  The more prepared you are beforehand, the more relaxed you’ll be on appointment day.  Here’s what you can expect:

  • Paperwork. Arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete the necessary paperwork.  If you have questions, just ask us.
  • You may have to give a urine sample, so be sure to drink some water before you arrive.
  • When you’re in the exam room, the health care provider will ask you questions about your medical history.  You will also have the opportunity to ask us questions about any testing or medication you need or want.  Afraid you won’t remember what ask? Bring some notes!
  • Depending on the type of appointment, you may have a physical exam.
  • After your visit, stop by the appointment window if you need to schedule any follow ups.
